High Art – Pop Culture in the Caermers Convent of Ghent, the Ghent Film Festival, in partnership with the Province East Flanders, takes a great plunge into the world of Japanese animation films. Hundreds of original drawings, 3D objects and film fragments provide a panoramic view of the different Anime sub-genres of internationally renowned films such as Akira and Princess Mononoke to Tezuka Osamu’s more classic Astroboy and computer games such as Final Fantasy and Pokémon.
